With globalization and organizational streamlining, technical experts such as engineers, technologists, and scientists also are expected to manage the technical workforce, in addition to performing the highly technical job functions.

For most engineers, the decision point to choose the path between technical specialty or technical management comes between three to seven years after graduating with an engineering degree.

Managing in a technological environment involves both technical and non-technical skills. Combined with the fact that the modern engineering enterprise is now characterized by geographically dispersed and multi-cultural organizations, engineering management is more relevant than ever.

Engineers must continue to redefine their roles to remain relevant in the modern economy.

This program offers a Master of Engineering degree in Industrial Engineering with the option in Engineering Management for students with a bachelor of science degree in any of the STEM-related (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) fields.
