Purpose of Mobile Technology Development Team

·         Gain a better understanding of the abilities and limitations of PDAs and Handheld PCs

·         Determine the usefulness of using mobile technology in the university classroom

·         Enhance classroom learning through the use of technology

·         Develop useful programs for use in classrooms to supplement professor's instruction                                                                                                                                                                               

The Mobile Technology Development Team is composed of three undergraduate students, one graduate student and two professors within the Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering Department.  The undergraduate students and graduate student are primarily focused on developing applications for use in the classroom while the professors are primarily analyzing results and developing new ways to test the usefulness of implementing mobile technology in the classroom.
