Research Areas

Our current research interests include microstructure, processing, and property relationships in functional thin film materials, with a focus on processing, novel instrumentation, and integration science; novel dielectric, superconducting, semiconducting, and pyroelectric materials for energy conversion and energy storage; ferroelectric and piezoelectric thin films; crystallography and diffraction characterization methods; and spectroscopic ellipsometry.
