Current Research Interests
Research areas of interest currently include fluidized bed heat
transfer, radiation through arrays of discrete surfaces, microscale
fluid mechanics and a variety of numerical heat transfer studies.
A Fellow of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Dr. Welty's current research efforts are supported by the U.S. Department
of Energy and Tektronix, Incorporated. Previous support has included
Batelle, EPA, DOA, AEC, and ERDA.
