Research Interests

Primarily involved with experimental studies of fundamental issues of turbulent flows, enhancement of transport properties by complex flow structures, and high speed droplet formation and aerodynamics. Applications of this work include (i) high heat flux micro-electronic cooling, (iii) high temperature gas turbine blade cooling systems, (iv) micro-scale fluid flow systems for biological and chemical reactors and ink-jet printing, (iv) multi-phase ejector systems , and environmental control.

Dr. Liburdy's Research has received supported from Hewlett-Packard, Xerox, Westinghouse, General Electric, AT&T, duPont, Maxfli, and others from industry and by DARPA, DoE, NSF, NASA, and AFOSR.
