Research Interests

Working through the Energy and Chemical Systems Miniaturization Initiative at the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, Dr. Drost was one of the early pioneers in the area of energy and chemical systems miniaturization. His fields of specialization include thermodynamics, radiation heat transfer, and energy conversion, particularly as applied to miniature and micro scale energy and chemical systems. He is currently the associate director of business development at the Microproducts Breakthrough Institute (MBI), a signature research facility of the Oregon Nanoscience and Microtechnologies Institute (ONAMI).
