WELCOME to the START of the 2009–10 SCHOOL YEAR—

AND to the KICKOFF ISSUE of the MIME E-BULLETIN

To all new and returning MIME students, faculty, and staff: Welcome to the 2009–10 academic year at OSU! As the term begins, I’m looking forward to renewing my connections with returning MIME students as well as to getting acquainted with those of you who are walking the Rogers, Dearborn, and Covell hallways for the first time. I wish each of you an enjoyable and successful year ahead.

To those of you new to the School of MIME: The MIME e-bulletin goes out every Monday to all MIME students, faculty, and staff. This e-bulletin is our primary vehicle for communicating news and information to all school members. Here you’ll find a calendar of upcoming MIME-related events as well as miscellaneous announcements; scholarship and fellowship opportunities; and links to current job and internship postings on the MIME job board. Please take time to read through the e-bulletin every week, as much of the information in any given issue is presented on a one-time basis only and will not be delivered to you in any other format.  Any member of the School of MIME may submit relevant e-bulletin postings. To do so, email the information to mime.ebulletin@oregonstate.edu by 8 AM Thursday prior to the week in which you want the posting to appear.

Again, welcome and best wishes to all of you in AY 2009–10!

Belinda Batten, school head
