YOUR ACTION IS REQUIRED BY 5 PM ON MONDAY, JUNE 1st!
The School of MIME Commencement Ceremony is next Friday, June
12 (the day before OSU Commencement), at 10:00 am in the LaSells
Stewart Center Austin Auditorium. All
students who are graduating in 2009—regardless of whether you are attending the
MIME commencement ceremony—should complete the 2009 Graduating Class Questionnaire and e-mail it to Gina.Newcomb@oregonstate.edu by 5 pm on
Monday, June 1st in order to
have your achievements acknowledged in the commencement program. For those planning to attend the MIME
commencement ceremony, your completed questionnaire will serve as your RSVP.

JOIN EWB-OSU AND TRAVEL TO KENYA THIS SUMMER! Are you interested in
ending poverty, improving health, and solving real world problems? Do you have
a passport and a desire to make the world a better place? If so, here's your
chance! The OSU chapter of Engineers Without Borders (EWB)
is seeking students from all majors
and professionals from all
fields to travel to Kenya for ~2 weeks at the end of this summer. While
in Kenya, you’ll be expected to work 10+ hours/day (often in hot, dry weather),
but you’ll have the rare opportunity to live with local Kenyans, learn about Kenyan
culture, and possibly learn and practice Swahili. EWB-OSU will reimburse students for all reasonable trip expenses
(airfare, lodging, travel insurance, and food). For more info, applicant

GET UP-TO-DATE INFO ABOUT OSU’S PROJECTED BUDGET SHORTFALLS. A
special session of the Faculty Senate will be held on Tuesday, June 2, 3–5 pm, in the OSU Theatre (Withycombe Hall) to
address the current/projected budget situation and the university's approach to
address shortfalls. There will be an open discussion with OSU's leadership
regarding the university's approach to address shortfalls. This session is open
to the public; all are encouraged to attend.

G ANNUAL COMPETITION FOR FULBRIGHT GRANT NOW
OPEN. Interested in studying,
researching, or teaching abroad? The
Institute of International Education (IIE), in
cooperation with the US Department of State and the J. William Fulbright
Foreign Scholarship Board, is opening the 2010–2011 Fulbright US Student
Program competition. The Program awards ~1,500 grants annually and currently
operates in over 150 countries around the world. Fulbright Teaching
Assistantships are now available in over 40 countries. Fulbright full
grants generally provide funding for round-trip
travel, maintenance for one academic year,
health and accident coverage, and full or partial tuition. Applicants
must be US citizens and have at least a bachelor’s degree or equivalent by the
beginning date of the grant. It is suggested that applicants work closely with
their faculty advisor on their proposed study or research project prior to
