RSVP BY TOMORROW FOR THE

MIME SPRING PICNIC AND SPORTING EVENT!

 

All School of MIME students, faculty, and staff (and their families) are invited to take part in this festive evening of food, games, and celebration at the annual MIME Spring Picnic this Thursday, May 28th, 5–10 pm* at the MLK park in Corvallis. (Directions: Head west on Harrison, turn right on 53rd/Walnut, park is on left-hand side). This non-alcoholic event is hosted by ASME and PTS. Free food and beverages will be provided.

 

If you plan to attend, please sign up by this Wednesday, May 27th, in the Dearborn 102 office or send an email to MIMEpicnic09@gmail.com. When you RSVP, be sure to indicate if you prefer a vegetarian meal. Also, if you need a ride to the picnic or are willing to be a carpool driver, please include that information when you RSVP—if you are volunteering to drive, be sure to list the times you are available. NEED HELP PREPARING FOR FINALS WEEK? The COE Academic Coaching Program and the university-wide Academic Success Center has peer coaches who work one-on-one with students to create individualized study plans for finals week, help manage the time leading up to exams, and strengthen skills in test preparation and test taking. G ANNUAL COMPETITION FOR FULBRIGHT GRANT NOW OPEN. The Institute of International Education (IIE), in cooperation with the US Department of State and the J. William Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board, is opening the 2010–2011 Fulbright US Student Program competition. The Program awards ~1,500 grants annually and currently operates in over 150 countries around the world. Fulbright Teaching Assistantships are now available in over 40 countries. Fulbright full grants generally provide funding for round-trip travel, maintenance for one academic year, health and accident coverage, and full or partial tuition. Applicants must be US citizens and have at least a bachelor’s degree or equivalent by the beginning date of the grant. It is suggested that applicants work closely with their faculty advisor on their proposed study or research project prior to applying. For program and application info, click here.
