Participation Deadlines and Policies for MIME Graduate School Students
DATE: June 16, 2017
Participation in the School of MIME graduation celebration requires that graduate students pass their final oral exam – including defense of thesis – by the Thursday of Final week, spring term. (Master of engineering candidates do not have to defend a thesis.)
This is day before the OSU commencement ceremony, and this means that even if your official graduation term is Summer 2017, you may be qualified to walk in the MIME ceremony. Generally, grad students who completed their degree requirements anytime from the prior summer through the upcoming summer may participate in the MIME Graduation Celebration.

Degree Requirements for MIME Graduate Students
Please refer to our MIME website for important details regarding your degree completion. It will be important that you work with Stephanie Grigar in 114 Dearborn Hall to schedule a room for your final defense. In doing this, she can make sure that you sign the defense announcement release form and receive the templates for your defense announcement, placement questionnaire, and graduation checklist among other things.
Plan to have your picture taken in business casual attire using this online scheduler. Portraits taken will be used for a slide show at the MIME Graduation Celebration and will be made available for students to make prints.
