Information and Resources for Current MIME Undergrads

To make the most of your undergraduate experience in the School of MIME, it's helpful to know about the tools, resources, and opportunities described at the following links. We encourage you to take advantage of each and every one of them as you move through your undergraduate program.

  • MIME Weekly E-Bulletin

The MIME weekly e-bulletin is the School's primary vehicle for publicizing student and faculty accomplishments, upcoming events, scholarships
and fellowships, research opportunities, MIME-related job and internship postings, and other important information for members of the MIME community. While every new issue is distributed by email to MIME students, faculty and staff and you should get in the habit of reviewing them as they come out, you can also access information in past issues by visiting the e-bulletin archives.

  • Program Planning and Advising Resources

The MIME undergraduate advising team focuses primarily on providing input and guidance on your program planning decisions and answering your questions about courses, degree requirements, academic rules and regulations, etc. But they can also offer information and advice about campus-wide resources, career choices, employment and internship opportunities, and any number of other questions or concerns you might need to touch base with someone about.

  • Extracurricular Opportunities

Whether through a student club or service organization, intramural sports, theater production, student government, or any of the other broad range of options for extracurricular involvement available at OSU, make the most of your college experience by getting involved.

  • Professional Development and Career Planning

The School of MIME is committed to providing the kind of education that produces work-ready graduates – students who are capable of joining the workforce as full contributors at the moment of degree completion. Ultimately, of course, it will be up to you to identify your career path and take the necessary steps to get onto it. That being said, a wealth of professional development opportunities and career-management resources are available to all MIME students, and we encourage you to take full advantage of them throughout your years at OSU.
