Administered by the School of MIME, the College's General Engineering (GE) program is designed for first-year CoE students who know they want to study engineering but aren't yet ready to declare a specific major. This structured, one-year exploratory program allows students to systematically investigate the different engineering disciplines in order to identify the best match with their academic interests and professional goals.

Through the academic advising process, students learn to take responsibility for setting goals as well as planning the steps to implement them. Participants are expected to select and transfer into their chosen major by April of the program year.

General Engineering program details are summarized below. If you cannot find the information you are looking for, please contact the program advisor, Tyler DeAdder, by calling 541.737.4718 or emailing tyler.deadder@oregonstate.edu
