dedicated to the design, integration, and optimization of systems of people
and machines that produce and deliver high quality goods and services. Oregon
State University offers graduate studies in

Information Systems Engineering |

building wireless mobile computing systems, web-based
systems for e-commerce, remote data capture systems to track hazardous materials,
or supply chain management software to fully integrate suppliers into the
manufacturing system. |

Human Systems Engineering |
creating advanced pilot-vehicle interfaces, designing safer agricultural
work environments, optimizing surgical team performance, or managing engineering
groups. |
Manufacturing Systems Engineering |
 |
developing lean electronics manufacturing systems, creating intelligent automated manufacturing systems, designing and scheduling cellular manufacturing systems, or simulating high-volume assembly lines. |

Nano/Micro Fabrication |
developing multi-scale processes to produce man-portable heat pumps, hydrogen
steam reformers for automobile fuel cells, or tissue-based toxicity biosensors.

| To be eligible for graduate studies in IE at OSU, you must
have a baccalaureate or master’s degree in science, mathematics, engineering,
computer science, or business. The Graduate Record Examination is required
of some applicants. The TOEFL exam is required of most international applicants. |
