MS, MEng, and PhD Programs in Industrial Engineering
The School of MIME at Oregon State University offers Master of Science (MS), Master of Engineering (MEng), and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degrees in Industrial Engineering, with the following areas of concentration:
Admission to the IE graduate program is open to applicants with baccalaureate degrees in mathematics,
science, and engineering. All PhD applicants and any MS or MEng applicants who have
not received an engineering degree from an ABET-accredited program should have
taken the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) and earned a score of at least 720
(about 74th percentile) on the Quantitative section. To be admitted, a student
must have earned a combined GPA of 3.00 on the last 90 quarter credit hours
(about two years) of graded course work including baccalaureate and post-baccalaureate
course work.
For applicants whose native language is not English, a TOEFL score is required.
A minimum score of 550 on the paper-based TOEFL test, 213 on the computer-based
test, or 80 on the internet-based test with a minimum of 18 in each of the four areas (speaking, listening, reading, and writing) is required. The English language proficiency requirement is waived for international
students who have completed a degree at a US university.
