This coursework-only degree is concerned with the practical application of specialized, graduate-level engineering knowledge.

  • Master of Engineering in Industrial Engineering students are not eligible to receive support in the form of graduate research assistantships (GRAs) or graduate teaching assistantships (GTAs).
  • MEng IE students may switch to the Master of Science in Industrial Engineering program at any time with the approval of the IE Graduate Program Committee (GPC).
  • Master of Science in Industrial Engineering students who have been supported on a GRA or GTA appointment may switch to the MEng IE program only under extenuating circumstances and with the approval of the MIME school head.
  • MSIE students who have not held a GRA or GTA appointment may switch to the Master of Engineering in Industrial Engineering program at any time with the approval of the IE GPC.
